EBS - Develop attachment functionality for both master and detail entities

1, First attachment functionality is disabled for both GMD routing header and steps.

Responsibility: Process Engineer

Navigation: process routings

1.1) Routing header is focused

1.2), Routing step has focus

2, Develop attachment functionality for both routing header and steps

Responsibility: Application Developer

Path: Attachments => Document Entities

2.1, create two document entities, one for Routing Header another for Routing steps

Routing step entity

Note: these two entities should already exist in your system, if not create them manually.

2.2, setup attachment functionality

Path: Attachments => Attachment Functions

Click on button “Categories”, for simplity I use Miscellaneous as category:

2.2.1, setup Routing header attachment function

Click on button “Blocks”, input as following

click on button “Entities”, input as following

click save.

2.2.2, setup Routing step attachment function

Add a new block for routing step as following

click on button “Entities”, input as following

3, test attachment function

Responsibility: Process Engineer

Navigation: process routings

Add an attachment and save, for simplity I use “short text” data type here

Focus on the step region, and click attachment icon

Add an attachment and save, still I use “short text” data type

Now click on the routing header region, the attachment icon changes, which means there is an attachment.

Click on routing step region, same as above

Click on another record, no icon change, which means no attachment for current record,
